A form of a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that is done to resemble the look of an eyeliner when applied on the inner and outer lines of the eyes.
Who needs it?
- Anyone who hates having panda-like eyes as their eyeliner spreads around their eyes all the time
- Anyone who wants their eyes to look bigger 1.5 times
- Anyone who wants to look fresh and young by making their pupil look bigger
- Anyone who is having bloodshot eyes wherein their eyes become reddish every time they draw an eyeliner or apply mascara
- Anyone who has sensitive eyes and hates putting on makeup eyeliner because aside from the fact that they are not skilled in applying the product, it irritates their skin
- Anyone who admits that even though how much they love the result of eyeliner applied on their eyes, it gives them the hard time in achieving that look everyday
Safety Precautions
- If you have had any type of eye surgery, consult with the physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent eyeliner procedure. Most physicians are allowing permanent eyeliner procedure 2-3 months after cataract, lasik, and blepharoplasty or double-eyelid surgery.
- Do not wear contact lenses during the procedure or for 24 hours after.
- Have sunglasses available. Eyes may be light sensitive or even dilated immediately after. The sunglasses are also handy for hiding puffy eyes.
- Do not dye or tint, curl or perm, eyelash extensions, or use eyelash curler 2 days before and 2 weeks after.
- No make-up in the area for 5 days
- Do not use mascara until outer healing is complete (3-5 days) or better yet extend it until 7 days after. Most clients are returning to work in 2 days and are noncompliant about this, so at least begin with a new tube of mascara due to risk of bacterial presence in used tubes. Stay a little farther out on the lashes, not too close to the liner. Remove with vaseline or baby oil without rubbing it into the liner.
- Eyes will be swollen for a few days. Eyes may feel dry or irritated. Lubricating refresher drops may be used.
- No sun, soap, sauna, chlorinated pools or salt water for 2 weeks
- Apply healing cream 3 times a day for 2 weeks with a cotton tip
- Don’t pick or peel crusting
- No hydroxy acids or retinoids on treated area for 1 month (and if used afterwards will speed up fading)
